The SuperX switch is a modular 6 rack unit (RU) high stackable switch that provides the enterprise network with a complete end-to-end Enterprise LAN solution, ranging from the wiring closet to the LAN backbone. Designed for medium to large enterprise backbones, the FastIron SuperX can support up to 204 Gigabit Ethernet copper or fiber ports, up to 16 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports, or a combination thereof. The TurboIron SuperX has a fixed configuration of 16 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports. The FastIron SuperX chassis is a native input card shelf, in which management and interface modules reside. The FastIron SuperX ships with one 12-volt AC power supply. You can install a second for redundancy. The chassis consists of one full slot for the management module, eight half slots for the interface modules, and power supply slots along the bottom of the card shelf. The power supply slots add an additional rack unit (RU) to the height of the chassis. Super Aggregated VLANs (SAV)—Allows service providers to decouple the provider VLAN domains from customer VLAN domains.SAV allows the provider to tunnel and preserve the subscriber VLANs by stacking VLAN tags (Q-in-Q).SAV is also known as Carrier VLAN.
